A Bit About Us
Bright Steps Academy was founded in 2021 with a vision to create an early childhood program where children feel safe, valued, inspired, and excited to learn. We believe that a child’s earliest experiences play an important role in shaping who they become, which is why we focus on nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
Our play-based, S.T.E.A.M.-enriched curriculum encourages children to explore, create, question, problem-solve, and learn through meaningful hands-on experiences. Through a balance of purposeful learning and play, we support the development of language and literacy, early math and science concepts, creative expression, fine and gross motor skills, independence, confidence, and strong social-emotional skills.
At Bright Steps, kindergarten readiness is about more than academics. Our goal is to help children develop the curiosity, resilience, kindness, independence, and love of learning that will serve them well in kindergarten and far beyond.
Above all, we strive to create a nurturing extension of home where children can grow at their own pace and families feel welcomed, supported, and connected.

Our S.T.E.A.M.-based curriculum introduces Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics through engaging, hands-on experiences. Children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, experiment, create, and problem-solve—building curiosity, creativity, critical-thinking skills, and confidence along the way.
Play is an essential part of how young children learn. Through purposeful, child-centered play, children develop communication and language skills, strengthen social-emotional development, practice independence, use their imaginations, and learn how to interact and collaborate with others.
By combining purposeful play with S.T.E.A.M.-based learning, we give children opportunities to learn with their whole selves—thinking, creating, moving, exploring, communicating, and discovering. The result is meaningful learning that feels natural, engaging, and fun.
